Indie Biz for Change is a community of entrepreneurs who want to make a difference in the world and we are looking for volunteers to help us.

Current Volunteer Roles

We’re currently looking for volunteers to support us from 1st August - 30th September to help us campaign to raise funds for Medical Aid for Palestine.  If you can spare a few hours (either as a one-off or on a regular basis) during that time then we’d love to hear from you. All volunteer roles are unpaid.

  • Copywriting

    • Create engaging content for our website and social media channels (2-3 hours per week)

    • Email newsletters (1 hour per newsletter)

    • Experience of writing for the third sector is a plus.

  • Social Media

    • Develop and implement a social media strategy to reach a wider audience (2 hours)

    • Create eye-catching graphics for social media platforms (1 hour per graphic)

    • Schedule social media posts to keep our audience engaged (1-2 hours per week)

    • Experience with Canva and social media platforms is a plus.

  • Public Relations

    • Write a compelling press release to generate media interest (2 hours)

    • Craft pitch emails to journalists and influencers (1-2 hours per email)

    • Experience and contacts in media is a plus.

  • Design

    • Create engaging visuals (e.g., product mockups) for our digital bundles. (1 hour per graphic)

    • Create eye-catching graphics for social media platforms (1 hour per graphic)

    • Experience with Canva is essential.

How it Works:

Once you complete the volunteer form, you'll be added to our database.

  1. You'll choose tasks that match your skills and interests.

  2. You'll be given clear instructions and deadlines but have the flexibility to work at your own pace.  

  3. We'll provide ongoing support and virtual co-working calls to get stuff done.

Your Responsibilities:

  • No minimum time requirement, do as much or as little as you can!

  • Choose tasks you're comfortable with.

  • Communicate openly if your capacity changes.

  • Let us know if you need any support during your volunteer work.

What You'll Get in Return:

  • Gain hands-on experience in your chosen role.

  • Virtual co-woking calls with the team.

  • Receive feedback on your work.

  • References and letters of recommendation (upon request).

  • Contribute to the Indie Biz for Change movement and raise money for Medical Aid for Palestine
